What impact do you hope to have at Kilo Lima?

absolutely love fire engineering and everything it stands for. Even globally, it is a very small industry and thus I feel very strongly that as practitioners we not only deliver innovative and technically robust solutions but also we collectively give back to the industry and community. It is my aspiration to highlight fire engineering as a career choice and also support the community through knowledge sharing and best practice.

WHAT ARE THE BIGGEST CHALLENGES FACING THE BUILDING CODE INDUSTRY TODAY?

Relevance. Political agendas and societal expectations are constantly changing and thus fire practitioners need to evolve and pivot also. With the emerging threats to the built environment and population driven by climate change and pandemics, we need to arm ourselves with the latest knowledge and work with industry stakeholders to ensure the solutions we provide today, are reflective of tomorrows world.

WHAT ARE YOU PASSIONATE ABOUT OUTSIDE THE OFFICE?

I am a keen Mountain Biker and love to hit the trails when I can. I love spending time with the family which normally involves bike rides, kayaking, movies and any other mischief we can get into.
