What is your current job role and building code experience?
I am the Principal for D-Code Engineering based in Saskatchewan which specializes in Building Code consulting. I started D-Code in 2010 after 10 years working as a Building Code Engineer with the City of Saskatoon, so I have experience both as part of an Authority Having Jurisdiction/regulator and on the design side of construction.
What impact do you hope to have at Kilo Lima?
I hope to be able to contribute some knowledge of the Building Code with the community of users while expanding my own knowledge at the same time. There is always more to be learned.
What are the biggest challenges facing the building code industry today?
Buildings and construction have become more complex while there is a stronger desire than ever to keep costs low. Having input on the Building Code requirements in the early design phases of a project is essential to avoid wasted time and resources.

What are you passionate about outside the office?
My family. My fiancé and I have 7 kids between us ranging from 13 to 27 years old as well as two Bernese Mountain Dogs. Our favourite times happen when we get together with family and friends. We also love to travel and to spend time at the lake
